Tennis sectionals

Congratulations to Anthony Payiavlas for qualifying for next week’s Districts at Akron by winning his first three matches at Solon Community Park. Anthony will play tomorrow to determine if he is the third or fourth seed from the Solon Sectional.

Sectional Softball @ Howland

The Raider softball team lost to Howland 20-5 in a first round sectional game played at Howland Park. Mikayln Todd homered and  Ryan Gump had two hits to lead the Raiders offense. The Raiders host Boardman on May 13th. Our senior softball players will be honored prior to the game at 4:45 PM.

Softball: JFK

The Lady Raider softball team defeated the Warren JFK Eagles by the score of 7-1.  The Raiders were led by Ryan Gump’s three hits. Marah Engram had a triple. while Kerrigan Riley and Rachel Gilronan recorded hits. On the mound, Kerrigan Riley had 13 strikeouts. The Raiders host JFK again tonight.

Swim Banquet 2021

Coach Lukco, his staff and the WGH Swim Boosters held their annual swim banquet at DiLucia’s Banquet Hall on April 29th. The swim team enjoyed a great meal as usual from owner Bobby Delmutti. The highlight of the evening was the male and female MVP awards. The female award ( Mae Looney Award) went to

The Lady Raiders lost to Fitch 21-1 in an AAC conference game. Marah Engram homered for the only Raider run.  On the mound Kerrigan Riley had two strikeouts. The Raiders host Mooney tonight.
