The Raider baseball team (1-1) dropped a 13-6 decision at home to the Boardman Spartans. The game was called after 5 innings due to snow flurries! The Raiders were led by Dontai Young, Brandon Arnold and Corey McPherson’s 2 hits each. Cavin Stouffer (1-1) pitched four innings and gave up 3 earned runs in the loss.

The Lady Raider softball team (3-2) defeated the Boardman Spartans in an AAC Red Tier game by the score of 13-6. The Raiders were led by Payton Schuller’s 3 hits and 2 RBI’s and India Stovell’s 3 RBI’s. Natalie Stanton was the winning pitcher. The Raiders return to action today (4.10.18) @ Boardman HS @

Baseball:Badger

The boys baseball team opened their 2018 campaign with an 11-1 win over Badger. Pitcher Cavin Stouffer struck out 9 for the win. Cameron Knupp had two hits while Dontai Young and Elijah Taylor had two RBI’s each.  Coach Burnett’s Raiders next face Geneva on Wednesday.

Softball: Badger

The Lady Raider softball team raised their record to 2-1 on the season with a 8-4 win over the Badger Braves. Japuncha and Rose led the Raiders with three hits.  Crenshaw and Stovell had two hits. Stanton K’d seven batters to earn the win.

Softball: Maplewood

The varsity softball team debuted a new coach, a new venue and new uniforms in their home opener and defeated Maplewood by a score a 6-3.  The Raiders were led by Kennedy Rose’s three hits/ 2 RBI’s and India Stovell’s two hits/ 3 RBI’s. The Lady Raider softball team will open their season on Saturday vs. Maplewood HS. The game was originally scheduled at Maplewood, but to bad field conditions the game will be played at Burbank Park.
